The Institute for Schools of the Future 20th year projects SHOWCASE
Client Introduction
The Institute for Schools of the Future (ISOF) was chartered
as a not-for-profit organization by the Board of Regents of the
State University of New York, for and on behalf of the State
Department of Education. For the past 20 years, the Institute
has been dedicated to improving the quality of mathematics
and science education, locally and nationally, with emphasis
on the creative use and application of new technologies. ISOF
views emerging technologies as critical tools for the
enhancement of learning, the expansion of viable teaching
techniques, and the provision of dynamic and challenging of
knowledge resources for students and teachers alike.*
Project Overview
The Institute for Schools of the Future (ISOF) approached me
to help them create a showcase to display select projects and
programs they created and ran from over the past 20 years.
An intro movie for each project was accessible from each frame
on the roll of film provided on the left of the screen. A brief
description of each project was provided on the right. Once a
frame was selected, a projector appeared and proceeded began
to play the intro movie for the selected project.
