Science on Patrol CD-ROM
Client Introduction
Science on Patrol (SOP) is a project designed to promote interest and achievement in science by providing youngsters compelling problems (‘crimes’) they can solve by applying the scientific processes and skills actually used by crime scene investigators to solve crimes. This approach capitalizes on the high level of interest in forensic science. This informal science project is aimed squarely at raising the level of participation and achievement in science for adolescent females and other members of underrepresented minority groups
Project Overview
Science on Patrol approached me
to develop a CD-ROM that would help to market their program.
The CD-ROM included a movie clip of the children in program,
an interactive map showing various locations of the SOP
program through-out New York City, and samples of lesson
plan reinforcements that were available to the participants
