Inquiry Questions:

•  If there is education in this game, how is it balanced with fun?
The word “fun” is used a lot throughout the game. It appears as if the designers are trying to actively make the players believe they are having fun by telling them that they are having fun. So in addition to actually making the game fun, they want to tell the kids "You are having fun".

Fun appears a lot in the dialogues between Chiko and other characters.

FOM (FUN-O-Meter) has the word fun in it.

The story includes a lot of interesting creative techniques for trying to keep the children interested in the story as well as the games.

I don't think they were completely successful because many children complained and there is also the issue of trying to please a wide range of ages and skill levels. But I do think they did a really good job of offering a lot of different options when it comes to succeeding in the game.
